My first family outing with my boy! It lasted the whole of an hour before we finally surrender to the scorching sun. We went to Hort Park at Alexandra. It’s like the flower fair at Sentosa but you don’t have to wait once a year.
I always wanted to spruce up my house with plants and flowers. Gardening always intrigued me. The color contrast of the petals, the wavering stance of the leaves under the soft wind and they definitely make any place look much more interesting. Just imagine the above photo doesn’t contain any pink and green. It is just a slate of concrete.
Unfortunately I carry the curse of having anything die on me whenever I try to give it care and concern. It happened to a tortoise, fishes and a lot of IKEA’s potted plants.
So I decided against getting any of the interesting desk plants at the florist. Maybe I’ll get it for office instead and have the pros take care of them.
Enough about me! Let’s talk about the park. I passed by the entrance of this place before when I was jogging but I never went in. The place looks huge! And it seemed so nicely manicured that you would think they charge for the entrance.
They have bamboo layout, hawaii style landscape, and other very nice settings that are visually very impressive.
And the playgrounds they have really make your neighborhood ones a slum. I would have jumped in and play my hair out if that wasn’t a public place.
Bringing a baby out is really tiring. The trip lasted less than an hour but I feel more wasted than after a football game. I still can’t fathom why I would want to go on a holiday with him around.
Worst thing is he won’t remember a SINGLE thing.
Oh well, at least I have this picture of him for keepsake. ROAR!
